# Trials

> The 7-day Premium trial: what it includes, when it ends, and what happens next.

Premium includes a **7-day free trial**. Basic has no trial because it is the
entry plan, and the Agent add-on is billed from the day you add it.

## What the trial includes

Everything Premium includes, with no reduced limits during the trial:

    And unlimited groups.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Up to 5 dashboards" icon="layer-group">
    Kept separate, each in its own currency.
  </Card>

    Shared across upload and connected email.
  </Card>

  <Card title="166 currencies" icon="coins">
    Converted daily.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## When it ends

Your trial end date is shown on your
[billing page](https://myclerkbook.com/app/settings/billing) for as long as one
is running. It is a date, not a countdown you have to keep track of.

<Steps>
  <Step title="During the trial">
    Your plan reads Premium and every Premium limit applies.
  </Step>

  <Step title="At the end of the trial">
    The subscription continues on Premium unless you have cancelled.
  </Step>

  <Step title="If you cancel during the trial">
    You keep Premium until the trial's last day, then move to Basic. Cancelling
    is not the same as ending access immediately.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What happens to your data if you move to Basic

**Nothing is deleted.** Moving from Premium to Basic changes what you can add,
never what you already have.

<Warning>
  Basic allows one dashboard. If you created several on Premium and then move
  to Basic, the extra books remain and remain readable. You will not be able
  to add new ones until you are back within the limit. The same applies to
  groups and to transactions: the limits govern new entries, not existing
  records.
</Warning>

Your records are portable on both plans, so they stay yours regardless of which
plan you end on. See
[Exporting your data](/your-account/exporting-your-data).

## The Agent add-on

The Agent has no trial. It is billed from the day you add it, at $20 a month or
$200 a year, and it can be added and removed independently of your plan.
